In April 2025, Opry Entertainment was successfully awarded a ten-year contract by Metro Nashville to take over management of Nashville’s Riverfront Ampitheater (Currently Ascend Ampitheater). Live Nation will hand over control of the 40,000-square-foot venue on Jan. 1, 2026 after running the venue since it opened in 2015.
With this investment, OEG continues to expand its presence and influence in Nashville’s live music community and becomes substantial stakeholders in the city’s East Bank development.
This new venue offers unique activation and amplification opportunities to existing and new OEG sponsors who share our passion for providing top-tier experiences for locals and visitors.
Opry Entertainment will take over management of Nashville’s Riverfront Ampitheater January 1, 2026. Featuring an outdoor setting with soaring views, Ascend Amphitheater is a landmark entertainment destination in the heart of downtown.
Located less than a mile from the Music City Center and 7.5 miles from BNA airport, this unique venue serves as an iconic backdrop with versatile spaces including an open-air amphitheater, spacious lawn, and intimate VIP Club.
In addition to the venue, the riverfront park boasts an event lawn, 1.5 miles of greenways, promenade, gardens, adult swings throughout, public art, and river overlooks. OEG will commit significant capital to improve and maintain the public spaces and connected greenway.
